SIU Approved Caterers Food Trucks

Before a vendor can come onto campus to prepare food, serve food, or do any other level of work regardless of dollar amount, they must be considered an 'Approved Caterer.' The vendors listed within the 'Approved Caterers' tab and 'Approved Food Truck/Food Stand' tab have been approved by Procurement Services for catering events for the SIU Carbondale campus. These vendors have a current Certificate of Insurance, a Health Department Certificate/Permit, and a Catering Contract on file within Procurement Services.

If a vendor is coming onto campus to only delivery food, then they do not need to be considered approved by Procurement unless they, or their product, will be served and/or distributed in the Student Center.

Ensure the vendor can accommodate the size of your group and other logistics before ordering.

If the vendor accepts a Master Card, a P-Card may be utilized up to the transaction limit.

Procurement Services encourages vendor price comparisons to be attached to Purchase Requisitions, Invoice Distribution Forms, or P-Card Transactions Records.

NOTE: Alcoholic beverages and bartender charges are to be paid following the Expense Guidelines after prior approval from the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance.
